General description

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is produced by thymus epithelial cells in adults. It is located on human chromosome 6p21.1 The Mouse VEGF ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse VEGF in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.

Immunogen

Recombinant Mouse VEGF-A

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
Mouse VEGF ELISA Kit has been used in biochemical analysis.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) supports vascular homeostasis. Vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A) modulates angiogenesis, vascular permeability and growth. It plays a vital role in the progression of the vasculature. Deficiency of VEGF-A leads to endothelial dysfunction, hypertension, ischemia and blood clotting.
