A protocol is not included with this product. This product is a ready?to?use, glycerol?based DAPI + antifade solution (1 µg/mL) supplied in a dropper vial for direct nuclear counterstaining on cells or tissues mounted on slides or coverslips. For general use, allow to warm to room temperature, gently swirl to mix, and protect from light. After fixation or immunofluorescence labeling and washes, apply enough solution to cover the specimen, coverslip, and incubate approximately 2–10 minutes at room temperature in the dark as a starting condition. If staining is too strong or bleeds into other channels, shorten incubation and optionally wash with PBS to reduce background before imaging. Image in the DAPI channel (DNA complex typically excitation ~360 nm, emission ~460 nm) and store the reagent at -20 °C, protected from light.
