Biochem/physiol Actions

Chloride channel CLIC-like 1 (CLCC1; Mid-1 related chloride channel, MCLC) belongs to the family of chloride channels present at the plasma membrane and membranes of intracellular compartments. They are involved in the regulation of cell volume and acidification of intracellular compartments. Chloride channels may modulate cell growth and apoptosis.[1] CLCC1 is expressed in membranes of endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and nucleus.[2]
