Lipase from Pseudomonas fluorescens has been used to study the activity of lipase in water-restricted environments and has been used to study lipase inactivation .

Lipase is an esterase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ester bonds of lipids. Lipases are essential for the digestion, transport and processing of lipids.
