This product is supplied as a lyophilized material in a rubber stoppered vial. Each vial contains approximately 1.1 g of lyophilized material and, after reconstitution, yields about 5.75 mL of bovine blood. Note that this material also includes EDTA as an anticoagulant, two preservatives (gentamycin and 4-hydroxybenzoic acid methylester), and is spiked with lead nitrate.
