Application
3-Methyl-5-(2,2,3-trimethyl-3-cyclopenten-1-yl)-4-penten-2-ol may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in sandalwood oil (Santalum album L.),[1] cosmetics and personal care products, and biological samples of the animals exposed to the sandalwood odorants by gas chromatography (GC) based techniques.
