Description

Application

This Anti-Adrenocorticotropic Hormone Antibody, N-terminus, clone 57 is validated for use in ELISA, IH(P) for the detection of Adrenocorticotropic Hormone.

This antibody reacts with solid phase ACTH either captured as part of a sandwich or adsorbed as a solid phase antigen and as such is suitable for serum assay development

The antibody is also reactive on formalin fixed paraffin wax embedded tissue and is therefore suitable for immunocyto-chemistry

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions

This antibody is specific for Synacthen (1-24 ACTH) and has no cross reaction with CLIP (ACTH 17-39). The antibody has an affinity constant greater than 10E11 L/mol.

The monoclonal is presented as 1mg in 1ml phosphate buffered saline containing 10mM sodium azide. We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.
