General description
Useful tool for the synthesis of side-chain modified, cyclic and branched peptides by Fmoc SPPS. Following chain extension, the side-chain ivDde group is removed with 2% hydrazine in DMF, enabling selective modification of the ε-lysine amino group.

Application
Fmoc-Lys(ivDde)-Wang resin (100-200 mesh) has been used as a solid support to prepare a peptide bearing a hexacarbonyldiiron cluster, neoglycopeptides[1] and lipopeptides as putative antifungal and cancer vaccines, respectively.
