General description

MSRV Selective Supplement contains novobiocin sodium salt in lyophilized form. Novobiocin suppresses the growth and motility of most of the competitor flora during culturing Salmonellae. It also prevents the swarming of Proteus spp.

Application

MSRV Selective Supplement is an additive for the preparation of MSRV medium (1.09878) for isolation of Salmonella spp.
