General description

Stearic acid is a saturated fatty acid found in high quantity in animal fat.[1] It is also found in cottonseed oil,[1] pumpkin seed oil[2], grape seed oil[3] and also in pomegranate seeds.[4] Stearic acid plays an important role as an emulsifier in the cosmetic industry.[1]

  • Effects of glycyrrhiza polysaccharides on growth performance, meat quality, serum parameters and growth/meat quality-related gene expression in broilers.: This study explored the impact of glycyrrhiza polysaccharides on broiler chickens, noting changes in serum levels of stearic acid, which could influence meat quality and overall health.
