General description

Polystyrene body with graduations. Membrane is polyethersulfone (PES), offering higher aqueous flow rates, lower extractables (no wetting agents), lower protein binding, and greater strength, capacity and chemical resistance than cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose or nylon. Sterile.

Application

Nalgene® bottle-top sterile filter units are suitable for the filtration of cell culture media, additives, serum, and buffers.

  • PES offers higher aqueous flow rates.
  • PES has greater strength, capacity, and chemical resistance than cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, or nylon.
