General description

Melting point standard 235-237 °C, caffeine is useful to calibrate melting point instruments, in the thermodynamic mode of measurement. The value of its melting point is determined with an average of 6 to 12 measurements using a Büchi B-545 instrument that is calibrated against primary standards.

Application

Caffeine melting point standard 235-237 °C finds its use in the characterization of pure chemicals and pharmaceutical compounds.

Features and Benefits

  • Melting point calibration standard traceable to primary standards (LGC, London)
  • Grade: Analytical Standard
  • Standard deviation up to ± 0.3 °C
  • Provided with certificates of analysis and safety data sheet
