General description

Titanium(IV) oxysulfate is known to form a yellow complex upon reaction with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) which facilitates the latter′s determination by spectrophotometric methods.

Application

TiOSO4 (titanium (IV) oxysulfate) was used for the preparation of stable amorphous titanium oxide (TiO2) hollow microspheres.
Titanium(IV) oxysulfate solution may be used for the determination of H2O2 in:
  • Municipal wastewater samples by colorimetry and spectrophotometry methods according to DIN 38 409.
