General description

Oxazepam is a benzodiazepine drug used to treat anxiety and insomnia and to control the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. This stable-labeled internal standard is suitable for isotope dilution methods or the quantitation of oxazepam levels using GC/MS or LC/MS in testing applications such as clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, forensic analysis or pain prescription monitoring.

Application

  • Oxazepam-d5 as an internal standard in toxicology: Oxazepam-d5 is utilized in gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for the determination of lorazepam and its metabolites in plasma and urine, demonstrating its utility as a stable isotope-labeled compound for enhancing analytical specificity and accuracy (Pichini et al., 1999).

  • Stable isotope-labeled Oxazepam for quantification in forensic science: This compound serves as a critical internal standard in sensitive GC-MS procedures for analyzing benzodiazepines and their metabolites in biological specimens, vital for forensic applications (elSohly et al., 1997).

  • Deuterated Oxazepam reference material for mass spectrometry: Oxazepam-d5 is used in the development of analytical methods for the detection of benzodiazepine metabolites, providing high accuracy and precision essential for clinical and toxicological evaluations (Meatherall, 1994).

A mass spectrometric method for drugs of abuse testing in exhaled breath employing a sampling device collecting aerosol particles was developed and applied in routine use. Analytes covered were amphetamine, methamphetamine, 6-acetylmorphine, morphine, cocaine, benzoylecgonine, diazepam, oxazepam and tetrahydrocannabinol. The

Arthrotec(®) (AT) is a combination of diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and misoprostol (MP), a synthetic analogue of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). MP is a lipophilic methyl ester prodrug. It is readily metabolized to the biologically active misoprostol acid (MPA).
