General description

Sodium citrate monobasic (Sodium dihydrogen citrate) is the monosodium salt of citric acid. Isopiestic method has been proposed for the evaluation of vapor-liquid equilibrium parameters (water activity, vapor pressure, osmotic coefficient and activity coefficient) for the binary aqueous mixtures of sodium dihydrogen citrate. X-ray diffraction method has been reported to investigate the crystal structure of sodium dihydrogen citrate. Its crystals are monoclinic having space group of P21/a.
Sodium citrate monobasic is commonly used as a buffering agent in various applications.

Sodium citrate is a useful setting retardant for the improvement of the properties of brushite cement.

Application

Sodium citrate monobasic is suitable for use in the synthesis of 16 functional alkene-terminated hyperbranched oligomer, useful for the preparation of composite system for dental composite applications. It is suitable for use in the preparation of gastric solutions, to investigate the effects of cooking methods and of the co-ingestion of selected food items on Hg bioaccessibility in fish species.

Brushite-forming calcium phosphate cements are of great interest as bone replacement materials because they are resorbable in physiological conditions. However, their short setting times, low mechanical strengths and limited injectability limit broad clinical application. In this study, we showed that

Fillers are widely utilized to enhance the mechanical properties of polymer resins. However, polymerization stress has the potential to increase due to the higher elastic modulus achieved upon filler addition. Here, we demonstrate a hyperbranched oligomer functionalized glass filler UV
