General description

N,N′-Ethylenebis(stearamide) (EBS) is a synthetic wax that has fatty amide groups that can interact with the surface of a variety of nanoparticles. It can be used for a wide range of applications such as lubricants, activators and dispersing agents that reduce the friction in the system and increase the rate of processing.

Application

EBS can be used to improve the dispersion of halloysite nanotube into a polylactic acid matrix, which can be potentially used as biodegradable plastic. EBS may also be used as a lubricant to improve the strength of high density polyethylene (HDPE)/wood composites.
Processing lubricants, release agents, antistats, pigment dispersing aids, oil-based antifoaming agent and additive to coatings.
