General description
Application

N and alpha;N and alpha;-Bis(carboxymethyl)-lysine hydrate in Biosensor Development: Zhang et al. explored the use of functionalized graphene oxide for the fabrication of biosensors aimed at detecting paraoxon, a nerve agent, where N and alpha;N and alpha;-Bis(carboxymethyl)-lysine hydrate is used as a part of the step-by-step process to anchor onto the GO-based materials (Zhang et al., 2014).

Protein Purification Enhancements:N,N-Bis(carboxymethyl)-l-lysine hydrate (ANTA) is used in the synthesis of superparamagnetic Fe3O4/Au nanoparticles as a conjugating agent. It facilitates the attachment of Co2+ ions to the surface-modified Fe3O4/Au nanoparticles, resulting in the formation of Fe3O4/Aun and ndash;ANTA and ndash;Co2+ nanoparticles (Zhang et al., 2013).
