General description
Dipyridyl dithiocarbonate, or DPDTC, as reported by the Lipshutz lab, is an effective peptide coupling reagent that is active across a broad substrate scope under mild conditions. Additionally, as DPDTC is functionally similar to thioesters utilized in biological peptide formation, it can be utilized in aqueous media, and avoids many of the hazardous side products and safety concerns present in many other current peptide coupling strategies.
