El ácido uridina 5′-difosfato-glucurónico (UDP-GlcA) es un azúcar de nucleótido formado por ácido carboxílico. Participa en la biosíntesis de numerosos componentes celulares.[3] El UDP-GlcA es un donante de glucosilos a las glucosiltransferasas en la biosíntesis de diversos componentes celulares como los glucosaminoglucanos, algunos glucanos ligados a N y O, los glucoesfingolípidos y las pectinas.[3]
