Specificity

Human phospho-Insulin Receptor (IR) Tyrosine 1158 and Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF1R) Tyr 1131. Mouse and rat reactivity are expected based on 100% sequence homology.

Predicted to cross-react with mouse and rat based on 100% sequence homology, but have not been tested.

Immunogen

Peptide corresponding to the amino acid region encompassing the human, mouse, and rat phospho-Insulin Receptor (IR) Tyrosine 1158 and Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF1R) Tyr 1131.

Application

Detect phospho-IR/IGF1R (Tyr1158) using this Anti-phospho-IR/IGF1R (Tyr1158) Antibody validated for use in IC, IH & WB.

Immunoblot Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this lot detected phospho-IR/IGF1R (Tyr1158) in RIPA lysate of untreated or insulin treated CHO cells transfected with IR.

Stable for 2 years at -20°C from date of shipment.
Handling Recommendations: Upon first thaw, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerolcontaining solutions to become frozen during storage.
