Application
- Activated carbons are internally porous microcrystalline, non-graphitic forms of carbon. The activated carbons possess large surface area (~1000 m2/g) and pore volumes which make them useful for applications in energy storage devices, catalysis, and for removal of impurities from gases and liquids.
- NORIT® RX 3 EXTRA is an acid washed, steam activated carbon that exhibits high pore volume. Its excellent purity along with good abrasion resistance makes it suitable as a catalyst or catalyst carrier for gas phase applications requiring high purity activated carbon.
NORIT® RX3 EXTRA (AC) can be used in a variety of applications such as solar collector, removal of metal from wastewater and production of hydrogen.
