Informations sur le gène

human ... CHRDL1(91851)

Description générale

Chordin-like protein 1 (CHRDL1) is an important secreted developmental mediator protein expressed in developing cornea, retina, brain, cerebellum and neocortex and developing bone. CHRDL1 in the nervous system alters the fate commitment of neural stem cells from gliogenesis to neurogenesis and contributes to neuronal differentiation of neural stem cells in the brain by the preventing the adoption of a glial fate. CHRDL1 also plays a critical role in dorsventral axis formation and regulates the action of BMP4 and preventing it from interacting with its receptors. In the developing eye CHRDL1 regulates retinal angiogenesis and the development of the anterior segment of the eye. Mutations in CHRDL1 are associated with various eye disorders and in particular one named Megalocornea 1, an X-linked developmental disease.

Immunogène

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human CHRDL1.

Application

Research Category
Neuroscience
This Anti-CHRDL1 Antibody, clone 10C9.3 is validated for use in Western Blotting and Immunohistochemistry for the detection of CHRDL1.

Qualité

Evaluated by Western Blotting in rat brain tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 1.0 µg/mL of this antibody detected CHRDL1 in 200 µg of rat brain tissue lysate.

Description de la cible

~65 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 50 kDa, but can be observed at ~65 kDa due to high glycosylation.

Forme physique

Format: Purified
Protein G Purified
Purified mouse monoclonal IgG1κ in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.

Stockage et stabilité

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.

Remarque sur l'analyse

Control
Western Blotting Analysis: 1.0 µg/mL from a representative lot detected CHRDL1 in 200 µg of human brain tissue lysate.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50-1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CHRDL1 in human retina, human cerebellum, rat cerebellum, and rat cerebral cortex tissue.

Autres remarques

Concentration: Please refer to lot specific datasheet.
