Questions

  1. What range of viscosities are these able to dispense accurately?

    1 answer
    1. These products are not calibrated at specific viscosities. Solvent viscosities of approx. 500 mPas may be used without restrictions, with certain exceptions.
See the list of tips below to assure optimum precision at higher viscosities:
      • The devices may be used up to approx. 1000 mPas, but this is contingent on temperature and other solvent properties.
      • Glycerin with a viscosity of approximately 1490 mPas is suitable for use with the dispensers.
      • Suction should be applied with higher viscosity solvents by slowly lifting the piston, as the pressure compensation in the cylinder is delayed.
      • Dispensing should be performed slowly or the discharge valve may block the ejection of the solvent.
      • Choose the smaller volume settings for dispensing, since less fluid is moved during the piston stroke.
      • Always monitor the sight window to ensure the cylinder is filled completely.
      • If working with recirculation return, remove the return hose.
      • Consider the use of larger size tube diameters, valve openings, and nozzle attachments when dispensing larger volumes, particularly if the solvent is of a higher viscosity.
