General description

TrueGel3D^® is a commercially available polymer-based diverse array of scaffolds for 3D in vitro tumor models. The RGD peptide present in these hydrogels enable cell attachment.

RGD sequences on extracellular matrix proteins (fibronectin, vitronectin) promote cell adhesion to cellular integrin receptors. The thiol group on the N-terminus of TrueGel3D^® RGD peptide acts as linker to bind RGD motif to the polymer (Dextran/PVA). The conjugated RGD motif on polymer promotes adhesion of cells with appropriate integrin receptors.
