Descripción

General description

Native α₂-HS-glycoprotein from human plasma. Plasma protein that is also found in the extracellular matrix. Synthesized in liver and enriched in bone. Its concentration dynamically changes under various physiological conditions. Functions as an opsonin for cationic-deactivating molecules in macrophages.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 200 mM NaCl, 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0.

Preparation Note

Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
