Extremely sensitive fluorogenic substrate for matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Suitable for assessment of total activity in crude preparations by continuous assays (k_cat/K_m = 1.7 x 10⁵ M^-1sec^-1 for MMP-7 and 6.3 x 10⁵ M^-1sec^-1 for MMP-2).
