Benzo[b]fluoranthene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, which belongs to the benzofluoranthene family obtained via incomplete combustion of gasoline engine exhaust, coal and oil combustion products, broiled and smoked foods.

Application

Benzo[b]fluoranthene may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in meat and fish products, smoked and non-smoked black teas and tea infusions and water samples by chromatography techniques.
