I would like to ask how and how much grams do I need to prepare 1200 ml solution at a density of 1.6g/cm3
1 answer-
Sodium Polytungstenate (SPT) has not been investigated for use in the preparation of heavy liquids. A brief search of the literature reveals information that may be helpful. The maximum achievable density, 3.10 g/cm³, is prepared from 133 g of SPT in 22 grams of deionized water at 20°C. A density of 1.56 g/cm³ may be prepared from 35.01 g of SPT in 42.94 grams of deionized water. A density of 1.73 g/cm³ may be prepared from 45.15 g of SPT in 41.10 grams of deionized water. Using the same ratios and adjusting the volume of water or the amount of SPT experimentally, would be the best method to achieve a specific volume at the desired density of 1.6 g/cm³.
