Application

Poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) is a commonly used material in microfluidic devices and other biomedical applications because of its high transparency, non-toxicity, and biocompatibility. However, the hydrophobic property of PDMS is a limiting factor for droplet-based microfluidics and several other applications. The use of this kit results in creating a durable hydrophilic PDMS surface. The resulting surface is wettable by hydrophilic inks and is appropriate for multiple printing applications. After treatment, water should completely wet the surface as the water contact angle is expected to be between 25 and 35°.
