The Pearl^™ is a high specification liquid transmission accessory designed for laboratory spectroscopic sample analysis in the Near and Mid-Infrared. The accessory contains Specac′s innovative Oyster Cell assembly which holds your sample in a horizontal plane. The design of the Pearl^™ and Oyster Cell allows for fast and easy application of the sample, and for cleaning between samples. A complete Oyster liquid cell consists of a separate top and bottom window assembly which are brought together to create a defined, consistent and repeatable pathlength for the liquid cell for the containment of a liquid sample between the inner contacting window surfaces. The Oyster cell can be provided as two different types (parallel or wedged angle) of a complete liquid cell assembly fitted with either ZnSe or CaF₂ window material options. The Oyster top window assembly fitted with a particular window material is common to all of the complete Oyster cells offered. The Oyster bottom window assembly is offered as a choice for the fitting of ZnSe or CaF₂ window material at a parallel or wedge angle window setting. A pathlength option to choose is from the 25, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 um offerings.

Linkage

A Specac^® Benchmark baseplate for your specific spectrometer is needed for installing the Pearl Liquid Transmission Accessory. A Pearl optical unit Z805432 is required plus a complete Oyster of the window type, pathlength and wedging.
