Informazioni sul gene

human ... ANAPC11(51529)

Descrizione generale

Anaphase-promoting complex subunit 11 (UniProt: Q9NYG5; also known as APC11, Cyclosome subunit 11, Hepatocellular carcinoma-associated RING finger protein) is encoded by the ANAPC11 (also known as HSPC214) gene (Gene ID: 51529) in human. APC11 is one of the components of the anaphase-promoting complex (APC) that belongs to the RING-box family of proteins. APC is a large E3 ubiquitin ligase that responsible for targeting proteins for degradation during mitosis. The APC is assembled from 13 different proteins where in APC2 binds to APC11 forming the catalytic core that recruits the E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzyme. APC11 has with multiple zinc -binding sites with a RING-type zinc-finger domain (aa 34-77). It is expressed at high levels in the skeletal muscle and heart and in moderate levels in brain, kidney, and liver. Two isoforms of APC11 have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. (Ref.: Schreiber, A et al., (2011). Nature. 470(7333); 227-32).

Specificità

Clone CRQ1.1 specifically detects human Anaphase-promoting complex subunit 11 (APC11). It targets an epitope with in 9 amino acids from the C-terminal region.

Immunogeno

A linear peptide corresponding to 9 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human Anaphase-promoting complex subunit 11 (APC11).
Epitope: C-terminus

Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutations are thought to represent an early oncogenic event in glioma evolution, found with high penetrance across tumor cells; however, in rare cases, IDH mutation may exist only in a small subset of the total tumor cells
