Isopore membranes should be handled carefully using appropriate forceps, such as Millipore forceps (Catalog No. XX6200006P). Avoid touching the membrane with fingers. Membranes should be used with the shiny side up.

I use it often to filter cells. I was just wondering if it matters which side of the filter I use? Are we supposed to use it the way they come in the box? So that the top of the filter is always used as the part to put the cell suspension on?
