Descrizione generale

18:0 DDAB is a cationic lipid[1] and a quaternary ammonium salt.[2] The hydrocarbon tails are saturated, unlike the ionizable lipids.[1] 18:0 DDAB acts as an active nasal adjuvant.[2]

Applicazioni

18:0 DDAB or Dimethyldioctadecylammonium (Bromide Salt) has been used to perform transfection of S2 cells.[3]

Azioni biochim/fisiol

18:0 DDAB is a surface-active molecule, used as an adjuvant to induce a systemic immune response. It is non-toxic.
