Description générale

The Mouse IL-1 β ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse IL-1 β cell lysate and tissue lysate.

Immunogène

Recombinant Mouse IL-1 β

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
Mouse IL-1 β ELISA Kit has been used to measure the concentration of interleukin 1 (IL)1-β in serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) sample.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Interleukin 1 β (IL-1β) stimulates the production of endogenous 92 kDa gelatinase (matrix metalloproteinases 9 (MMP-9)) and tissue inhibitors of MMP (TIMP -1). It is a proinflammatory cytokine that induces various acute and chronic inflammation. Therefore, IL-1β can be considered as a potential therapeutic target for disease associated with fibrosis and tissue remodeling. IL-1β brings neutrophil and macrophage to the site of infection. Over expression of IL-1β in synovial fluid contributes to the pathogenesis of synovitis and degenerative changes of the cartilaginous tissue and bone of the temporomandibular joint. Mutations in IL-1β gene leads to renal manifestations and renal sequelae in Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP).
