The gene TECPR1 (tectonin β-propeller repeat-containing protein 1) is mapped to human chromosome 7q21. The protein localizes to autolysosome membrane.

Application

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Tectonin β-propeller repeat-containing protein-1 (TECPR1) forms a complex with ATG12 (autophagy-related protein 12), ATG5 and phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate. The complex is important for autophagosome-lysosome fusion and to start the autophagosome maturation process.
