m-Cresol Purple (meta Cresol Purple) is a sulfonephthalein dye. It is also known as m-Cresolsulfonphthalein.

Application

m-Cresol purple has been used to measure pH via spectrophotometer.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

m-Cresol purple is a pH indicator. It changes from red (pH 1.2) to yellow (2.8) and yellow (7.4) to purple (9.0).
