The polyethyleneimine, Supelco 21195-U, is made from Aldrich 181978. Supelco purifies the PEI to use as a GC phase; it is commonly solvated with acetone for use in the manufacturing of packings for gas chromatography columns. It exists as a thick, clear, colorless, odorless liquid at room temperature.
