Cell Line Origin
Human lymphocytes, Trichothiodystrophy heterozygote, EBV-transformed
Cell Line Description
LB198 has been derived from mononuclear cells from peripheral blood of a 45 year old female. The cells have been transformed with EBV. The patient has been shown to be heterozygote for trichothiodystrophy (TTD) and is the parent of LB199 (Sigma Catalogue number.98062321) TTD is a rare genetic disorder with deficiency in excision repair of UV damage. Fibroblasts from the same individual have been designated TTD HM 1BR.
Application
DNA repair deficiency studies
