Hormonally up-regulated neu tumor-associated kinase (HUNK) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily and is an SNF1-related serine/threonine kinase that has a unique COOH-terminal (C-terminal) part without homology to any known protein. This protein is highly expressed in the mammary gland, kidney, and central nervous system.
Specificity
Other homologies: Mouse (87% sequence homology) and Rat (85% sequence homology).
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human HUNK.
Application
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50-1:250 dilution from a representative lot detected HUNK in human brain and human cerebellum tissues.
This Anti-HUNK Antibody is validated for use in WB, IH(P) for the detection of HUNK.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in SK-BR3 cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL of this antibody detected HUNK on 10 µg of SK-BR3 cell lysate.
Target description
~70 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight is 80 kDa, however HUNK has been shown as a ~70 kDa band in western blots. (Gardner, H.P., et al. (2000). Development. 127:4493-4509.)
Analysis Note
