General description

Calnexin is a Ca++ binding protein found in ER transmembranes that binds to specific n-linked oligosaccharides found on newly synthesized proteins. Calnexin associates with the ER membrane phosphoglycoprotein, signal sequence receptor SSRμ, and has been identified as the ER protein associated with major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I heavy chain and with the T-cell receptor and membrane immunoglobulin before assembly of these multimeric complexes. Hence, calnexin may represent a molecular chaperone in the ER membrane that is selective for incompletely folded oligomeric membrane proteins newly translocated to the ER.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes Calnexin at the C-terminus.

Immunogen

Epitope: C-terminus
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human Calnexin.

Application

Anti-Calnexin Antibody is an antibody against Calnexin for use in WB, IC, IH(P).

The physiological and molecular mechanisms linking prenatal physical activity and improvements in maternal-fetal health are unknown. It is hypothesized that small extracellular vesicles (EVs, ~ 10-120 nm) are involved in tissue cross-talk during exercise. We aimed to characterize the circulating small EV profile

The beta-lactam antibiotic ceftriaxone reliably attenuates the reinstatement of cocaine seeking. While the restoration of nucleus accumbens core (NA core) GLT-1 expression is necessary for ceftriaxone to attenuate reinstatement, AAV-mediated GLT-1 overexpression is not sufficient to attenuate reinstatement and does

Cocaine use disorder is a chronically relapsing disease without FDA-approved treatments. Using a rodent model of cocaine relapse, we and others have previously demonstrated that the beta-lactam antibiotic ceftriaxone attenuates cue- and cocaine-primed reinstatement of cocaine-seeking. Ceftriaxone restores cocaine-induced deficits

The calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) is a homodimeric G-protein-coupled receptor that signals via intracellular calcium (Ca2+i) mobilisation and phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK) to regulate extracellular calcium (Ca2+e) homeostasis. The central importance of the CaSR in Ca2+e homeostasis has
