General description

GranuCult® plus Blood Agar (BA) Base is a rich nutrient medium designed to grow fastidious from various test samples and for the determination of hemolytic reactions after addition of defibrinated blood.
The medium is mainly used to understand the hemolysis patterns of the growing microflora. The blood component is defibrinated and added later after autoclaving procedure.
Heart extract and peptone in the media provide nitrogen, carbon, amino acids, and vitamins to the growing microbes and agar acts as the solidifying agent.

Application

GranuCult® plus Blood Agar (BA) Base is used to grow fastidious from various test samples. It is used to understand hemolysis forms of the microflora coming from the test materials.

Footnote

We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
