General description

C-peptide, also known as the connecting peptide, is a 31-amino-acid polypeptide connecting insulin′s A-chain to its B-chain in the proinsulin molecule. Measurement of C-peptide blood serum levels can be used to distinguish between diabetes or hypoglycemia conditions with similar clinical features. This certified Snap-N-Spike® solution of the fully-intact c-peptide protein is suitable for use as starting material in calibrators and controls in LC-MS/MS c-peptide testing methods.
This certified reference material (CRM) is a primary standard. It is traceable to the SI and higher order standards from National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through an unbroken chain of comparisons. This C-Peptide (human) acetate salt is available as a solution of a pure substance in phosphate buffered saline with a pH of 7.4.

Application

C-Peptide solution is suitable for analytical and R&D applications for in vitro identification, calibration, and quantification.
