Application

Magnesium chloride (MgCl2) can be used as:
  • An additive in the synthesis of aragonite precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) to control the polymorphism and morphological structure of PCC.
  • An ammonia-selective absorbent to enhance the synthesis of ammonia by Haber−Bosch process.
  • A precursor salt to synthesize magnesium β-ketoesterate complexes by reacting with proligand and anhydrous triethylamine in dry DMF.
