General description
The method is analogous to APHA 3500-Cr D and DIN 38405-52.
This Spectroquant® Chromate Reagent Test allows the accurate quantification the chromium(VI) concentration present in aqueous samples as chromate or dichromate ions. For the detection of complex-bound chromium(III) or total chromium (sum of chromium(VI) and chromium(III)) the sample needs to be decomposed by digestion.
Method applied: In weakly phosphoric solution chromium(VI) ions react with diphenylcarbazide to form chromium(III) and diphenylcarbazone which form a red-violet complex that is determined photometrically.
The Spectroquant® Reagent Test Kits contain highly stable, ready-to-use reagent mixtures to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet.
All our Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode) which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.
