Application

• Rapid and zero-cost DNA extraction from soft-bodied insects for routine PCR-based applications.: This study used phosphate buffered saline (PBS) to develop a cost-effective and efficient method for DNA extraction from insects, facilitating routine PCR-based applications in molecular biology (Jangra & Ghosh, 2022).


• Injectable amnion hydrogel-mediated delivery of adipose-derived stem cells for osteoarthritis treatment.: PBS was utilized to prepare and deliver adipose-derived stem cells in an injectable hydrogel, showing potential for innovative osteoarthritis treatments (Bhattacharjee et al., 2022).


• Rapid and sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 infection using quantitative peptide enrichment LC-MS analysis.: This research employed PBS for sample preparation in a novel LC-MS method for detecting SARS-CoV-2, providing a rapid and sensitive diagnostic tool (Hober et al., 2021).
