General description

Iron(II) sulfate heptahydrate is a heptahydrate of iron(II) sulfate. It undergoes thermal degradation to afford hydrosulfate and oxysulfate of iron(III). Isothermal and dynamic thermal analysis methods have been proposed to study its thermal decomposition in air.

Application

Iron(II) sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO4.7H2O) may be used in the synthesis of maghemite nanoparticles.
