Somatostatin Receptor Type 1 (SSTR1) is present in blood vessels, neuroendocrine cells, and the retina. SSTR1 gene is mapped to human chromosome 14q21.1.
Immunogène
synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal of human somatostatin receptor type 1, conjugated to KLH. The immunizing peptide has 100% homology with the rat and mouse gene.
Actions biochimiques/physiologiques
Somatostatin Receptor Type 1 (SSTR1) protein extracellular loop regions are crucial for ligand binding. SSTR1 gene down-regulated in reported in preeclampsia but it is overexpressed in breast cancer. It is reported to block the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. However, in pancreatic cell lines, elevated expression of SSTR1 gene favors cell cycle arrest. SSTR1 also plays a tumor suppressor role in gastric cancer invasion.

Somatostatin receptor 1 (SSTR1) was preferentially methylated in Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive gastric cancer using promoter methylation array. We aimed to analyse the epigenetic alteration and biological function of SSTR1 in EBV-associated gastric cancer (EBVaGC). Promoter methylation was examined by combined
Somatostatin receptor 1 (SSTR1), a subtype of somatostatin receptors, is involved in various signaling mechanisms in different parts of the human body. Like most of the G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), the available information on the structural features of SSTR1 responsible for
Somatostatin receptors (SSTRs) are G-protein-coupled plasma membrane receptors that have been determined to be expressed in normal and cancer tissues. Activation of SSTRs frequently results in inhibition of cell proliferation and therefore somatostatin analogues (SSAs) have been used in cancer
