Derived from a BALB/c mouse which has undergone mineral oil injections intended to induce plasma cell tumour development. The original tumour WEHI-3b showed many characteristics of human myelomonocytic leukaemia. The cells produce high levels of IL-3.

Maintain cultures between 1-5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
