Carboxylate-modified polystyrene latex beads have also been used to inform comparative studies on immunity defense mechanisms of adults and larvae of the coleopteran Cetonischema aeruginosa and to investigate the phagocytic activity of cultured rat thyroid cells.

Concentration is aqueous suspension of 2.5% w/v as indicated in the CoA. Estimated amount of particles in 1mL of 2.5% of 1.9um particles is calculated to be 6.66E9 particles/mL. Recommended storage is 2–8 °C
