Description générale

The gene ACTL7B (actin like 7B) is mapped to human chromosome 9q31. It is mainly expressed in the testis and weakly expressed in the prostate. ACTL7B is an intronless gene. The protein is present in the cytoplasm of spermatids.

Application

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

ACTL7B (actin like 7B) is involved in spermatid morphogenesis, sperm motility and male fertility by regulating F-actin organization.
